Dance Attire​

Bitty Dancers:

Leotard, tights & ballet shoes. Hair should be pulled away from face and placed in a bun or a secure ponytail.

Ballet & Pointe:

Leotard, pink tights, ballet skirt, pink ballet shoes & hair in a secured bun.

Jazz, Contemporary  & Tap:

Leotard, tights or leggings and the appropriate shoes. Hair should be secure and pulled into a ponytail or any style out of the face.

Hip Hop:

T- Shirts, comfortable pants or leggings, Hip Hop shoes, boots or gym shoes may be worn. Hair should be secure and pulled into a ponytail or any style out of the face.

Pilates:

Leotard, tights or leggings and the appropriate shoes. Hair should be secure and pulled into a ponytail or any style out of the face.

Musical Theater:

Leotard, tights or leggings and the appropriate shoes. Hair should be secure and pulled into a ponytail or any style out of the face.

Male Dancers:

Comfortable clothing may be worn in all dance style. Ballet Class requires a solid color t- shirt, solid color bottoms and Ballet shoes.

Dancers must be fully covered during all dance classes and may not dance with their midriff showing or without wearing tights or leggings as stated above.

Studio Policy's And Procedures

Class Sizes:

Classes will be kept at an appropriate teacher/ student ratio to ensure dancer safety and a positive learning environment. We only allow a max of 3 people on each class wait list since class spots are already at the appropriate balance.

Placement:

The dancers placement is determined at the time of registration. The instructor may ask the dancer to attend one evaluation class to help determine their correct level or the instructor may observe the dancer during the 1st week of classes. Placement is based on the dancers age and technical experience.

  Advancements:

All dancers will receive a new placement letter at the end of each year informing them of the classes they have been approved to register for starting in the summer of the upcoming year.

Attendance:

Dancers should attend their registered classes regularly to assist with their personal growth and development. They should arrive on time for each class and be ready to dance.

  Make Up Classes:

Dancers that miss classes due to an illness, or family emergencies may make up the missed class in the current term only. Please speak with you instructor to arrange your approved make up class.

Missed classes due to injuries require proper medical documentation. Make up classes will be worked out with the instructors once the dancer has documentation from the doctor that they are cleared to dance.

     Class Observations:

No one is allowed in the dance studio other then the teachers and the dancers once the class has started. 

Weather Closure Policy:

In the event there is an extreme weather situation that the studio will need to close, we will send out communication through email and the Studio's Facebook and Instagram pages.

Housekeeping:

There should be no food or drink other then water inside of the dance studio. Dancers must clean up after themselves. They are welcome to use the water cooler to refill their water bottle, but we ask that the dancers be mindful not to waste the water.

Costumes:

All dancers enrolled in Terms 3, 4 & 5 classes and attend on a regular basis are welcome to participate in the Spring Recital. A costume must be purchased in order for the dancer to participate in the recital. All dancers are required to purchase and supply their own shoes.
